Oui Capital, a venture capital firm with a pan-African focus, recently announced the start of Oui Capital Mentor’s first funding, which raised $30 million.
Vibe Capital, D Global Ventures, One Way Ventures, Ground Squirrel Ventures, Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre, and Tokunboh Ismael are a few of the local and foreign investors in the fund. Also, TeamApt CEO Tosin Eniolorunda, and investor Gbenga Oyebode also joined the funding.
Furthermore, Oui Capital desires to be one of the first “yesses” granted to entrepreneurs. Moreso, they set out to build technology firms for the African market to fill the funding gap defined in the startup ecosystem.
18 businesses, including TeamApt, Duplo, Akiba Digital, Intelligra, Pharmacymarts, and Aifluence, have received funding from the venture capital firm’s first fund in Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Egypt, and South Africa.
Likewise, the most pre-seed and seed-stage technology and technology-driven businesses in sub-Saharan Africa will receive investments from the $30 million fund.
The company will also intensify its efforts to achieve its objective and use the context, resources, and extensive network available locally to help founders create scalable enterprises that identify some of Africa’s most urgent problems.
